He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim Jurrens and Lena Jurrens (Roll); his siblings, Chester, Raymond, LeRoy, Eldon, Viola Voigt, Leatta Schorteman and Erma Dykstra; and his grandson Adam Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine M. Mayer; his children, Jeffery Jurrens (Debra) of Bark River, MI, Kimberly Schmidt (Dale) of Merrimac, WI, Robin Cox (Tim) of Geneva, IL and Jay Jurrens (Paula) of Verona, WI; his grandchildren, Heather Stemick (Paul), Joshua Jurrens (Beth), Dustin Schmidt (Jen), Danielle Daniels (Anthony), Austin Cox (Anna), Ashley Cox, Jenna and Nathan Jurrens; his great grandchildren, Lacey, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Bennett Stemick, Callum Daniels and Jack Jurrens; and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Mayer (Coeurd), Carol Jurrens of Avon, SD and Bernice Roth Minneapolis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Virgil's name, may be made to the Madison West Kiwanis Club, or Midvale Community Lutheran Church.
