Vivian Meland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Meland of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl J. Altizer and Mary M. Altizer (Denruiter); her husband Edward "Eddy" Meland; and her siblings, Patty Buchert, Dennis Altizer and Robert Altizer.
She is survived by: her brother George Altizer (Carol); her children, Richard Meland (Rhonda), Sandy Castanon (Fransico), Mary Pedersen (Jim), Nancy Marsh (Scot) and Wendy Mattie (Clyde); her grandchildren, Leslie, Melissa, Ryan, Kasandra, Hailey, Lina and Hannah; her great grandchildren, Sydnee, Ace, Ares, Tate, Lorde and Finn; her great great grandchild Laela; and her close friend Maureen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cress Funeral Home - East Washington Chapel (3325 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53704). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
