He was predeceased by: his father Douglas Dewey. He is survived by: his wife Londa (Jorgensen); his children, Kristin Binkowski (Mark) and Carlton Dewey (Molly); his grandchildren, Lane Dewey, River Dewey, Avery Walter Binkowski and Olivia Binkowski; his mother Nancy Dewey; his siblings, Jean McFadden, John Dewey and Ann Dewey; and his pets, Stevie Nicks and Stella.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gunderson Fitchburg Funeral & Cremation Care (2950 Chapel Valley Rd, Fitchburg, WI 53711). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (312 Wisconsin Ave, Madison, WI 53703). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Edgewater Hotel (1001 Wisconsin Pl, Madison, WI 53703).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts to support this initiative. Contributions in Walter's memory may be made by check or DAF contribution (EIN: 39-0743975), payable to the "UW Foundation - Carbone Cancer Center" with a note to direct as a tribute to the "Walter Dewey Family PCI" (Innovation Fund #112900217).
