He was predeceased by: his parents, Orland Willis Powers and Mary Louise Sutcliffe; his son Michael Powers; and his siblings, Marian Parkin and Harold Powers.

He is survived by: his wife Judith Powers; his daughters, Michelle Swetmore (Martin) and Stephanie Powers; his grandchildren, Chad Swetmore (Ellen), Ryan Miller, Randi Burton (BJ) and Ben Swetmore; his brother George Powers; and his brother-in-law Jim Beckman (Tery). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gunderson Funeral and Cremation Care - Madison (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the same location.
