He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schmahl and Anna Schmahl (Diefenthaler); his wife Gloria Ehlers; and his daughter Dawn Pieschek. He is survived by: his son Larry Schmahl (Sandy); his grandchildren, Preston Pieschek (Ashley), Lawton Pieschek (Breanne), Alayna Pieschek (Diallo), Sheena Craanen (Ricky) and Darren Schmahl (Corina); his close friend Lillian; and his sister Marilyn Laack (George). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
