He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Boettcher and Olive Boettcher (Worel); and his siblings, Ernie Boettcher, Elaine (Vince Posvic), Lorraine (Walter Goessl) and Dolores (Ed Knapp).

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Scott Johnson; his son Chad; his daughter-in-law Nikki Boettcher; his grandchildren, Skye, Carson and Calvin; his brothers, Edward and Gordon (Darlene Boettcher); and his sister-in-law Karen Boettcher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
