He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. J. and Mildred L. Bonnefoi (Groll); his grandparents, Henry J., Lillie Bonnefoi (Baetke), Frederick B. and Octavia Groll (Buerstatte); his siblings, John Bonnefoi and Jeanne Bonnefoi Lynch; his parents-in-law, Roy and Stella Kahrs (Brin); and his brothers-in-law, Rev. Lee Kahrs and Allen Wavrunek.

He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Thomas Bonnefoi (Jacque Ross) of Manitowoc and Catherine Strandberg (Brad Williams) of Stevensville; his granddaughter Cailin Grantham (Garry); his great grandchildren, Delaney, Alana and Arlo Grantham of Kalispell, Montana; his daughter Christine Ackley (Jon); his granddaughter Erin Kozlowski; his great grandchildren, Kade and Dallas Kozlowski of Manitowoc; his daughter Caroline Ledvina (Michael) of Manitowoc; his granddaughter Stephanie Street (Michael) of Sturgeon Bay, WI; his daughter Corrine Klein (Brian) of Two Rivers; his grandsons, Ryan Broehm of Fort Campbell and Casey Broehm of Reedsville, WI; his son Timothy Bonnefoi (Rebecca) of Manitowoc; his grandchildren, Alyssa of Rockwood, WI, Brady and Tanner Bonnefoi of Manitowoc; his son Anthony Bonnefoi (Kathryn Kwiatkowski) of Manitowoc; and his siblings-in-law, Louis Kahrs (Marlene) and Leah Wavrunek. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center (620 N Water St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (2221 Michigan Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220).
