He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Schmidt and Mary Schmidt (Hammond); and his brother-in-law Roland McCorkle. He is survived by: his daughter Katie Hammer (Dave); his grandsons, Benjamin and Peter; and his siblings, Pam McCorkle, Nancy Tracy (Steve), Linda Woolstenhulme (Lane) and Terry Schmidt (Barb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
