He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Welnicke and Rose Welnicke (Kellner); his wife Geraldine Bialek; and his siblings, Alice Blanchard (James), Joseph Welnicke (Marie), Paul Welnicke (Betty Lou), Mary Evenson (Ray), Frank Welnicke (Joyce), Ervin Welnicke (Jean) and Rose LeClair (David).
He is survived by: his son Joseph Welnicke (Jean); his grandchildren, Brenda Czekala, Kelly Stahl (Eric) and Lisa Fahney (Dustin); and his siblings-in-law, Susan Bialek, Sandra Brandt and Eugene Kriescher. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
