He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kettner and Marcella Kettner (Zeman); his wife Pauline Cichantek; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Ella Cichantek; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Leitermann (Francis), LaVerne Leitermann, Donald Cichantek (Yvonne), Robert Cichantek, Patricia Thorison (James) and David Howell.
He is survived by: his son Mike Kettner; his grandson Shawn Ploeckelman (Erica); his great grandchildren, Isaac and Addison Ploeckelman; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Howell of Manitowoc and Helen Cichantek of Manitowoc; his close friend Jane Kuchenbecker; Cheryl Ploeckelman (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Erv's name.
