We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2023, at the age of 89, John Goswitz of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Francis A. Goswitz I and Agnes M. Goswitz (First); his siblings, Robert F. Goswitz and Adelaide Lewis; and his parents-in-law, Vinton "Pete" B. and Marjorie L. Petersen.
He is survived by: his close friends, Dr. Nathan Davis, Dr. Norman Schroeder and Dr. Lynn Holder; his wife Kay Petersen; his children, Katie Petersen (Eric), Paul Goswitz, Anne Douglas (Dwayne Austin) of Austin, TX and Mark Goswitz (Kathy Currie); his grandchildren, Khloe and Jack Petersen; his daughters, Sandra Douglas (Chase McAnally) of Austin, TX and Nicole Douglas (Brock Williams) of New Braunfels, TX; his brother Dr. Francis A. Goswitz II; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Helen V. Goswitz of Oak Ridge, TN, Michael Petersen, Chris Petersen (Patrice) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ken Petersen (Mary) and Keith Petersen (Brenda); and his caregivers, Kat, Sue, Karen, Jennifer, Sheila and Katy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in John's name which will be used to benefit organizations that were important to him.
