It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Schmidt of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Schmidt (Robinson) and Joseph Schmidt; his wife Annie Nelson of Mary's Catholic Church; his siblings, Lloyl (Ruth), Donald (Mary Jane), Paul, Eugene Schmidt (Betty), Norma Behnke (Elroy), Everilda Henkel (Charlie) and MaryAnn Kuusisto (Ronald); and his sister-in-law Jean Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Reichard (Joe Shimek), Tom Schmidt, Jodi Schamburek (Ken), Amy Campbell, Pam LeGreve (Mark), Jon Schmidt (Charlene) and Jason Schmidt (Mary-Kate O'Hara); his grandchildren, Patrick (Shaunda), Timothy, Daniel, Deah, Justin, Kristin and Brandon; his brother Art Schmidt; and his sister-in-law Beverly Schmidt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi (2109 Marshall St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
