She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Kotthaus and Cleo Kotthaus; her husband Norman "Buzz" Schroeder; her parents-in-law, Carl (Willis) and Marvelene Schroeder; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Edwards, Herb and Marilyn LeMoine.

She is survived by: her son Dr. Todd; her daughter-in-law Dawn Schroeder; her daughter Kristin Schroeder; her grandchildren, Tyler, Kendra Schroeder, Dr. Callie Schroeder, Mitchell White, Nicholas, Hailey Schroeder and Casper Lee Gray; her great grandchildren, Maverick, Maiko, Caden, Hayes and Callahan; and her sister-in-law Jan Schroeder. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren and loved being a great grandmother.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, Lakeshore Humane Society, and the HFM Cancer Care Center.
