He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Windus and Helen Windus (Heinzen); his brothers, Larry Windus, Charles Windus and Gale; his siblings-in-law, Jenny Windus (Carstens), Kenneth Detrie, Robert Guse and Richard Gospodarek; his mother-in-law Alvina Gospodarek (Zywicki); and his stepson Randy Barbier.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Windus (Gospodarek); his son David; his daughter-in-law Jorie Windus (Wichlacz); and his sister Diana Detrie (Windus). He is also survived by 3 sister-in-laws, 6 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
