He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Dill and Violet Gauthier Dill; his grandparents, Ernst and Anna Dill; his parents-in-law, Vincent and Laura Ruth Bast; his sister Kathleen; his brothers-in-law, Frederick Haupt and Vince Bast (Pam); his aunt Kathleen; and his uncle Arthur Kimmes.
He is survived by: his wife Jinny; his daughters, Mary Beth (Tom Lakatos), Sara (Chris Spencer) and Amy (Jason Muench); his grandchildren, Craig Lakatos (Mallory), Christopher Spencer (Emily), Nick Spencer (Sara), Libby Rhode (Brennan), Megan Salm (Jonah) and Jared Muench (Sara); his great grandchildren, Avery, Chase Lakatos, Tobin, Will, Jaxon, Graham Spencer, Benjamin, Nora Spencer, Ellie, Brooks Rhode, Lincoln, Baby Salm and Ellis Muench; his sister Bette Haupt; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Ann Indestad (Charlie) and Chuck Bast (Nancy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First German Ev. Lutheran Church (1033 S 8th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (2221 Michigan Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to First German Ev. Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
