He is survived by: his wife Sally McClellan Mershon of Paul's Catholic Church; his son Richard McClellan; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jo Franzen (David), Margaret Peggy Schultz (Thomas), Therese Terri Kozaczuk Bastian and Timothy Kumbalek; his nieces and nephews, Bill Kumbalek Jr. (Lori), John Kumbalek (Kathy), Mindy Kumbalek, Michelle Herzog (Brian), Nick Franzen (Krista), Tony Franzen (Heather), Krystal Schultz, Katrina Katie Freeman (Curtis) of Norman, OK, Dale Oberti (Max) of San Francisco, CA and Jennifer Kozaczuk (Brooke); his goddaughter Ashley Bastian (Timothy Kumbalek Jr.); his close friend Mike Tollefson (Linda); and his friend Peter Schoepp.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (1121 N 14th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
