We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2023, at the age of 99, Ruth Dorothy Nelson of Manitowoc, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann "Hans" Weinert and Theresa Weinert (Smazel); her husband Bud; her children-in-law, Mary Nelson and Ivan "Von" Shanks; and her brother John Weinert (Judy).
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Nelson (Dianne), James Nelson, Green Bay and Julie Nelson Shanks. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Any memorials should be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Manitowoc.
