It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Pankratz of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schleis and Marie Schleis (Mleziva); her brother-in-law Michael Pankratz (Bette) of Houston; her husband Raphael Pankratz; her son Mark Pankratz; her grandson-in-law Jon Danforth; her parents-in-law, Michael and Catherine Pankratz; her siblings, Milton (Marilyn), Albert, James, Daniel Schleis, Blanche Kasten (Elton), Mary Ann Klaman (Jerry) and Carol Schleis; her daughter-in-law Gail Linsmeier Pankratz; her brother-in-law Marvin Pankratz (Ione); and her nieces and nephews, Monica Shaulis, Margie Parmenter, Jeanne Sundling, Cecilia, Paula Kasten, George, Gregory and Joseph Kasten.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Kosarzycki (Roman) of Orlando, Jean Vetting (Wayne) of Manitowoc, Jane Kirt (Richard) of Francis Creek, Nancy Pankratz of Green Bay, Kevin of Manitowoc and Paul of Manitowoc; her grandchildren, Brandy Danforth of Denver, Holly Borga (Steven), Catherine Wedekind of Green Bay, Nicholas Kosarzycki (Reena) of Nashville, Emily Stewart (Craig) of Sheboygan, Rachael Osmunson (Nick) of Mishicot, Brian Kirt (Kylie) of Reedsville and David Pankratz of Albuquerque; her great grandchildren, Caleb Austin, Carter Greene, Emmabelle, Fiona Borga, Henry, Louis Stewart, Boone, Josephine Osmunson and Wyatt Kirt of Reedsville; and her sisters, Darlene Franke of San Francisco and Donna Gadzinski of Kewaunee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
