Shirley Pankratz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Pankratz of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schleis and Marie Schleis (Mleziva); her brother-in-law Michael Pankratz (Bette) of Houston; her husband Raphael Pankratz; her son Mark Pankratz; her grandson-in-law Jon Danforth; her parents-in-law, Michael and Catherine Pankratz; her siblings, Milton (Marilyn), Albert, James, Daniel Schleis, Blanche Kasten (Elton), Mary Ann Klaman (Jerry) and Carol Schleis; her brother-in-law Marvin Pankratz (Ione); and her siblings' children, Monica Shaulis, Margie Parmenter, Jeanne Sundling, Cecilia, Paula Kasten, George, Gregory and Joseph Kasten.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Kosarzycki (Roman) of Orlando, Jean Vetting (Wayne) of Manitowoc, Jane Kirt (Richard) of Francis Creek, Nancy Pankratz of Green Bay, Kevin of Manitowoc and Paul of Manitowoc; her grandchildren, Brandy Danforth of Denver, Holly Borga (Steven), Catherine Wedekind of Green Bay, Nicholas Kosarzycki (Reena) of Nashville, Emily Stewart (Craig) of Sheboygan, Rachael Osmunson (Nick) of Mishicot, Brian Kirt (Kylie) of Reedsville and David Pankratz of Albuquerque; her great grandchildren, Caleb Austin, Carter Greene, Emmabelle, Fiona Borga, Henry, Louis Stewart, Boone, Josephine Osmunson and Wyatt Kirt of Reedsville; and her sisters, Darlene Franke of San Francisco and Donna Gadzinski of Kewaunee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (8100 Brunner Rd, Newton, WI 53063). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2400 S Alverno Rd, Manitowoc, WI 54220).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
