He was predeceased by: his parents, Elston Wayne and Neva Pauline Chapin (Gleason); his siblings, Elaine Johnson (Chapin), Mark and Gordon Chapin; and his daughter Shalla Lynn Chapin.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Chapin; and his children, Shaun Davis (Bob), Shane Chapin (Nicola) and Synda Ketchum (Tim). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
