He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Bast and Laura Ruth Bast (Draheim); the mother of his children Pamela Bast; his son-in-law Pete Strzyzewski; and his close friend Kathie Soukup.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Seth (Taylor), Alex (Victoria), Gina, Kera (Craig), Madelyn and Sierra; his great grandchildren, Owen and Kalliope; his siblings, Jinny Dill (Robert), Ruthie Indestad (Charlie) and Chuck Bast (Nancy); and also, Brett Bast (Wendy Kuchinski) and Tammy Strzyzewski. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Vince's name.
