She was predeceased by: her husband Gilbert Hurtis; her parents, Elsie Nowack (Dorst) and Clarence Nowack; her sisters, Dorothy Reisner and Muriel Nowack; and her grandson Bill Lang.
She is survived by: her children, Lyn Skrzypchak (Roland) of Sparta, WI, Sandra Lang (Donald) of Roscoe, IL, Larry Hurtis (Joan) of Tomahawk, WI, James Hurtis (Lisa) of Wausau, WI, Brian Hurtis (Heidi) of Harshaw, WI and Bruce (Pam). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Aspirus Hospice of Wausau, WI, Highland Community Church of Wausau, WI, or Circle of Joy Food Panty, Edgar, WI in Darlene's memory.
