Barbara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Barbara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willy Dechandt and Else Dechandt; her husband Ernie; and her grandson Brian Medina (Traute). She is survived by: her children, Ingrid, Greg Medina (Mary-Catherine) and Cecil Medina (Melanie). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thielen Funeral Home (1403 Newberry Ave, Marinette, WI 54143). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Parish (2608 18th St, Menominee, MI 49858).
