She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Chepeck and Hazel Chepeck (Williams); her husband Warren Bretl; her son Steven; her son-in-law John; her granddaughter Elizabeth; and her brother Dave.
She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen Semrau (James) of Clarksville, TN, Alice Janquart (Tod) of Menominee, Polly Smith (Darrell) of Marinette, Sue Gibson (Jeff) of Iron River, MI, Jayne Strohl (Mark) of Daggett and Marcy Fazer (James) of Menominee; and her siblings, Lynn Chepeck (Cathy) of Kansas City, MO and Christy Langer (Paul) of Niagara. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Thielen Funeral Home (1403 Newberry Ave, Marinette, WI 54143). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Church (1016 10th Ave, Menominee, MI 49858).
