She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Schwede-Hartman and Ella Schwede-Hartman (Gast); her in-laws, Carl and Marie Ewald (Donald); her siblings, Lynn Schwede, Ken Schwede and Grace Fahser (Marvin); and her nephew Scott Schwede.
She is survived by: her husband Donald A. Ewald; her children, Julie Hitz (Jeff), Tom Ewald (Sherry), Brian Ewald (Kathy) and Craig Ewald (Theresa); her grandchildren, Kyle Ewald, Donny Ewald (Caitlyn), Danielle Ewald, David Ewald (Brittany), Alli Wollin (Mitch) and Megan Ewald; her great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kaden, Owen, Easton and Charlee Nila; and her sister June Ochowski (Larry).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (318 E Garfield Ave, Marion, WI 54950). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Nila's family.
