She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Reginald "Rex" Swoboda and Mary Swoboda (Geimer) of Denmark Wi; her husband Don Laper; her children, Rex Wachtel (Angela), Beth Peltier (Tony), Mathew Wachtel, Tara Cassady (Jarred), Jude Wachtel (Teresa), Andrea Keel, Kim Kaufman (Chad), Gariann Davi (Phil), Lynnette Wilde (Doug), Skip Laper (Brenda) and Janell Squire (Brad); and her grandchildren, Madeline, Zach, Charlie, Rex, Tommy, Jackson, Tyson, Reece, Hanna, Abby, Ava, Lexi, Amelia, Aubrey, Aiden, Karissa, Broch and Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (41 St Joseph St, Markesan, WI 53946). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Holy Family (41 St Joseph St, Markesan, WI 53946).
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name and decided at a later date.
