He was predeceased by: his parents, Lourdes Lavoignet Tamez and Jorge Lopez Tamez Sr.; and his sisters-in-law, Cassie Tamez and Terri Tamez. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Tamez; his children, Chad Tamez (Marcia), Caitlin Hendricks, Morgan Hendricks and Isabel Tamez; his siblings, Gerardo Tamez, Leticia Tamez, Jaciel Tamez and Nick Gripentrog (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Sophia Tamez, Gianna Tamez, Ellington Bingner and Oakliana Bingner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in Jorge's name to Kathy's House in Wauwatosa, WI.
