He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Cherney and Mary Cherney (Willman); his wife Ruth A. Sauer; and his brother Louis Cherney Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Chris Cherney of Marshfield, Craig Cherney (Melissa) of Spencer and Caryn Degneau (Phil) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Aubrey Heiden (Mitch), Dana, Ryan Cherney, Austin and Andrew Degneau; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Emilee Gebelein, Callie, Lukas, Madisyn and Ella Heiden; his sister Darlene Schmidt of Marshfield; and his sister-in-law Marlene Cherney of Spencer. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (201 W Blodgett St, Marshfield, WI 54449). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
