He is survived by: his children, Brenda Barnes (Nile), Thomas Gutsch (Renee Eder) and Kirk Gutsch; his grandson JD Barnes; his siblings, Marjorie Swanson, Gretchen Carter and Jeff Gutsch (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Gutsch, Judy Hearth (Sam) and Jim Underwood (Robin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
