It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert L. Spaeth of Marshfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gilbert L. Spaeth to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Spaeth and Alvina Spaeth (Knoeck); his siblings, Harold, Larry, Gerald Spaeth and Joanne McCumber; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Spaeth.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Frey; his children, Cathy Schuster (Russ), Connie Brock (Tom) and Timothy Spaeth (Stephanie); his sister Ellen Connor of Rothschild; and his sister-in-law Donna Spaeth of Spencer. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (201 W Blodgett St, Marshfield, WI 54449). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care or Cancer Research.
