He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mence and Thelma Mence (Secord); and his sister Jane Anderson (Conrad). He is survived by: his wife Krista Montgomery; his children, Melissa Mence, Jayson Mence, Kimberly Schilling (Cory) and Steven Mence; his grandchildren, Walker, Christopher, Mariah, Keonte, Isaiah, Rylie, Jasmine, Jai and Kevin; and his great grandchildren, Liliana, Finley and Verona. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Pkwy, Marshfield, WI 54449). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
