He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Wittman (Geiger) and Anton Wittman; his wife Sharon Shidell; and his brothers, Jerome Wittman, Lawrence Wittman and Gregory Wittman.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Kolar (Chuck), Amy Parker (Tim), Dan Wittman (Noreen) and Katie Connor (Chris); his grandchildren, Joshua Kolar, Tyler Parker (Sonia), Krista Kolar, Bailey Parker and Blake Wittman; his great grandchild Lorelai Parker; and his siblings, Flavia Wittman, Linus Wittman (Bonnie) and Thomas Wittman (Cinda).
