He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Gauerke and Virginia Gauerke (Metz); his siblings, Bill, Dennis, Diane, John, Dick and Kenny; his sister-in-law Ginny Gauerke; his father-in-law Lester Dassow, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Lester "Bud" Dassow, Jr., Dave Kummer, Randy Auner and Jim Bartz.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn C. Dassow; his children, Alan R. Gauerke (Kati Schirmer) of Wisconsin Rapids and Tracy J. Miller (Chris) of Pittsville; his granddaughters, Devin and Reese Miller; his siblings, Bernie Gauerke, Jim Gauerke (Ruth), Betsy Weiler (Tom), Judy Akey (Wayne), Susie Kummer, Donna Bartz, Dale Gauerke (Debbie), Mike Gauerke (Debbie), Tom Gauerke and Debbie Auner; his sisters-in-law, Karen, Dawn and Grace Gauerke; and also, Zoe, Lyn and Ava Sepersky.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory (300 S Oak Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
