He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ernsting and Elaine Ernsting (Fish); and his brother David Ernsting. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Redfern of Greenwood and Amy Larson Bianchi (Joseph Bianchi) of Wonderlake, Illinois.; his former wife Janet Lortie of McHenry; his siblings, Kent Ernsting (Janice) of Gloucester, Virginia, Cynthia Orsen (Steve) of Mauston and Karen Reynolds (Jeff) of Foster City; his grandchildren, Brandon Redfern of Cadott, Wisconsin, Ashley Linkert (Alex) of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Melissa Ernsting of Wonderlake, Illinois, Mitchel Redfern of Mauston, Wisconsin, Mason Gureczny of Wonderlake, Illinois., Taylor Gureczny of Wonderlake, Illinois. and Brooklyn Gureczny of Wonderlake, Illinois.; and his cousin Ed Dollar. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W Pearl St, New Lisbon, WI 53950).
