It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathilda Ann Schumacher (Mauston, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Treml and Veronica Treml (Rudolph); her husbands, Richard Haire (Shorty) and Edward Shumacher; her brother-in-law Bernard Miller; her nephew Daniel Miller; her niece Heather Treml; her nephew-in-law Robert Holig (Bob); and her foster sons, Bruce and Allen Vanderhoof.
She is survived by: her siblings, Frances Miller, Dorothy Bugenhagen (Paul) and George Treml (Ruth). She is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews, forty great nieces and nephews and thirty two great great nieces and nephews.
