He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Brueggeman and Bernice Brueggeman (Fisher); his sister Susan Ballweg (Joe); and his daughter-in-law Julie Mellum (David). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Reeve; his children, William Gene Brueggeman (Kimberly), Phillip John Brueggeman (Kari), David Mellum, Rick Mellum (Sue) and Susan Mellum; his grandchildren, Richard Linley (Kari), Cassandra Burgette (Nick), Nickolas Mellum, Thalassa Cooper (Zack), Eagan Wisner, Cyan Wisner, Tony Brueggeman, Tyler Brueggeman and Aleczander Brueggeman; his great grandchildren, Blake Linley, Aiden Linley, Colton Linley, Verra Novotny, Brecken Novotney, Nora Burgette, Evelyn Burgette, Landen Sullivan and Gracelynn Cooper; and his siblings, Phyllis Powders (David) and Todd E. Brueggeman.
