She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Mac" McCarthy and Mary Elizabeth "Liz" McCarthy (Stack); her son Matthew Splinter; her in-laws, Frank and Mary Splinter; her siblings, John "JJ" McCarthy and Sue Hayes; and her brother-in-law Bill Koeberl.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Splinter; her daughters, Gayle Splinter Sharkey (Curt) and Sondra Splinter (Mike Price); her granddaughter Cassie Sharkey; her sister Diane Koeberl; and her sisters-in-law, Susan Buttchen, Patty Manthei (Rollie) and Brenda Quick (Roger). She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to JDRF and Epilepsy Foundation.
