He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Kruzan of Highbridge; his parents, Joe Vitek and Millie Vitek; his siblings, JoAnn Salek, Gary Vitek, Dennis Vitek and Dawn Rikkola; his sister-in-law Monica Vitek; and his grandson Josh Vitek.
He is survived by: his children, LeRoy (Julie), Lori (Doug), Robin (Debbie), Richard (Pam), Troy (Lynn), Kurtis (Mert) and Kerry (Corey); his siblings, Don Vitek, Marlene Salek (Dan), Duane Vitek (Sharon), Martin Vitek, Ken Vitek (Vicki) and Cherryl Hohenstein (Jon); and his brother-in-law Len Salek (John Rikkola). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great‑grandchildren; 4 great‑great‑grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Congregational United Church of Christ (117 S West St, Mellen, WI 54546). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ.
