She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Talbot and Patricia Talbot (Verbrick); and her stepfather Don Kuehl. She is survived by: her husband Joe Kinney; her daughter Hannelore Kinney (Mark); her siblings, Dan Talbot (Jeanne), Dorothy Dworshok (George), Nora Kees (Doug), Roy "RoyBoy" Talbot (Diane), Bill Talbot (Kathy) and Kathy Bauer; and her close friend Kim Holinbeck (Brian). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fox Valley Humane Association in Barby's honor.
