David C. Thompson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David C. Thompson (Menasha, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 18, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David C. Thompson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thompson and Evelyn Thompson; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Bernice Pritzl; and his siblings-in-law, Kit Thompson, Nancy Blaha, Judy Hughes, Anthony Pritzl and Kenneth Meidl.
He is survived by: his wife Ginny; his children, Chad Thompson and Courtney Velpel (Robert); his grandchildren, Rowen, Ethan and Liam; his daughter Stephanie Birling (Dustin); his grandchildren, Olivia, Avery and Harper; his siblings, Joan Haugen (Dave), Ginny Nelson (Steve), Julie Butler (Bill), Dale (Kathy), Debbie Becker (Dave) and Dennis (Rose Theis); and his siblings-in-law, Bernita Meidl, Mary Lou Rolland (Tom), Beverly Markvart, Kathryn Lich (David), Mildred Pritzl, Tom Pritzl (Gina), Jerry Blaha (Darcy) and Tom Hughes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home - TRI County Chapel (537 N Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Menasha (528 2nd St, Menasha, WI 54952). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (528 2nd St, Menasha, WI 54952).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Valley Autism Treatment Program or the Down Syndrome Association of WI - Fox Cities in support of his grandchildren.
