She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Buskirk and Eleanor Van Buskirk; her husband Richard Pekel; her daughter Kathleen; and her brothers, Robert and Thomas Van Buskirk.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Miller (Thomas) and John Pekel (Sue); her granddaughter Chelsea Padour (Joseph); her sons, Joseph Nichols (Sarah Griffin), Charles Miller (Amber), Joshua Pekel (Autumn) and Justin Pekel; her great grandchildren, Rachel and Abigail Padour; her grandchildren, Aldrich Nichols, Elijah Pekel, Maverick, Kallie Pekel, Magdalena and Adelaide Miller; and her siblings, David Van Buskirk (Margaret) and Karen Kaas (Roger). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church (473 7th St, Menasha, WI 54952). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church (437 7th St, Neenah, WI 54956).
