He is survived by: his children, Todd Koeller (Monica) and Lori Larson (Allen); his grandchildren, David Koeller (Kara), Joshua Koeller (Jasmine), Jordan Koeller (Lauren), Joseph Larson and Jeff Larson; his great grandchildren, Levi, Ezra, Fletcher, Jude and Katherine; his brother Michael Cane (Toni Rozek); his sister-in-law Beverly Echtner; and his caregivers, Joe, Lish, Matt, DJ and Tiffany.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to benefit Hope Lutheran Brethren Church and the National Park Foundation.
