He was predeceased by : his parents, Alois Schaefer and Katie Schaefer; his former life partner Eleanor Smith; his son Mark; his siblings, Kenneth (Kay), Jack (Millie) and Bernice (Helmuth); his parents-in-law, Arno and Estelle Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Don Hartwig and Duane Smith (Mary).
He is survived by : his wife Mercedes Rosenbohm; his children, Michael (Marjorie), Matthew (Stacey), Chris (Stephen), Lisa Lemons (Tim) and James (Heidi); his grandchildren, Bradley (Jody), Ryan (Ann), James, Emily (Tim), Aaron, Rebecca, Joseph, Garrett, Kyle, Alan, Michaela, Nathan, Sarah, Timothy, Alesha (Eric), Emmaus, Uriah, Micaiah, Zipporah, Cephas, Hadassah and Thaddaeus; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Hunter, Hailey, Katelyn, Margaret, Natashea, Larissa, Leah, Cooper, Carys, Iris, Jakob and Ares; his great great grandchild Shelby; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Hartwig, Phyllis Radigan (Frank), Alice Siewert (Ken), Robert Smith and Diane Smith (Arlo); and his parents-in-law, Lonnie Wagner (Kathy), Faythe Weber, Wendy Gehl (Charlie), Don Wagner, David Wagner and Michael Wagner.
