Alan M. Matthiessen Obituary

Unexpectedly left us on February 15, 2024 at the age of 78.

Loving husband of Kathy for 23 years. Proud father of Matthew Matthiessen and the late Michele Matthiessen. Brother of Judy (Doug) Kohls. Survived by many grandkids, great grandkids, other family, and friends.

Alan was a former hunter, enjoyed going out to eat (angel hair pasta and Mexican food), and had a passion for buying/selling guns as a hobby.

His dear wife, Kathleen "Kathy", was always by his side. She cared for him dearly and always laughed along side when Alan would crack his fun jokes. She will miss him immensely and thoughts of him will never fade. His son, Matthew "Matt", loved to walk down memory lane with Alan often. They shared their love for the Packers, and he always attended Matt's sporting events growing up. Matt's love for his dad was, and will continue to be, incredibly strong. Alan is reunited with his late daughter, Michele, in Heaven. This is such a blessed and wonderful thing. Alan loved his family and friends so very much. He was very generous and had a soft spot for various charities. We will never forget you! In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Visitation will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) on February 23, 2024 from 10am until time of service at 12pm. Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
