Bernard Burton Hansen Obituary

85, was born June 1, 1939 and left this earth after a courageous battle with cancer on October 11, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kathleen "Kit" Hansen, son Butch (Stephanie) Hansen, daughter Heather Hansen, and granddaughters Nadia and Cate Hansen.

A wonderful father and adoring grandpa, who was well known for the twinkle in his eye and his strong sense of humor, Bernie was well loved and will be missed by relatives and friends. Bernie was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, canoeing, gardening, and time with his family and friends. While he built a successful career as a computer analyst, he was happiest working on the orchard he and Kit bought in the first phase of their retirement.

Our family will be forever grateful for the tender and compassionate care provided by the hospice and skilled nursing staff at St Camillus in his final months. We also thank Dr. Deepak Kilari and the Froedtert Cancer Center Staff for their committed care and support.
