CarolMae Garbisch Obituary

CarolMae (Carol) E. Garbisch, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

CarolMae was born on August 2, 1934, in Mequon. She lived a beautiful life centered around her faith, her family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. CarolMae had a strong and unwavering faith in God, which carried her throughout her life and gave her comfort. She found peace in reading her Bible and spending time in prayer, always trusting in God's plan.

She enjoyed playing cards of all kinds, watching Hallmark movies, and working on crossword puzzles. She loved watching the birds and animals in nature and finding joy in the little things around her. Most of all, she loved spending time with the people she loved most. Her family was her greatest joy, and she especially cherished her grandchildren. She had a special gift for making children feel loved and important, and she was the very best at playing pretend with her great-grandchildren.

CarolMae was a loving, gentle, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She gave her family 92 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, wisdom, and countless memories. Although her family would never have been ready to say goodbye, they find comfort knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain, and home with God. Her family knows that her beloved husband, Marvin, was waiting for her at Heaven's golden gates.

CarolMae will be deeply missed and forever loved by her three daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Norville, Charlene (Gary) Dieball, and Christine (Gary) Abel; her grandchildren, Garrett (Mary), Gregory (Ashley), Gregg (Brittany), Catie (Tyler), Matt (special friend, Erin), and Jason (Melissa); and her great-grandchildren, Skylar, Raelynn, Cecily, Max, Lucy, Annie, Berklee, Oaklee, Rigglee, and Paislee. She is also survived by her brother, Wallace (Irene) Janke, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Marvin; and her sister, Shirley.

CarolMae leaves behind a family who will carry her love, faith, laughter, and wisdom with them for generations to come. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all of them.

No services will be held, per CarolMae's wishes. A celebration of her life will be planned for a future date.
