David A. Sorenson Obituary

David Sorenson of Menomonee Falls passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024, at the age of 64. He is the loving father of two sons Eric Sorenson and Sean Sorenson. He was preceded in death by his parents Norm and Joan, and his brother Steve.

David was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well as a master's degree in education at Jones International University. David took great pride in his occupations, which included teaching and various jobs within the information technology field, most recently at HealthEquity prior to his retirement.

David had a passion for football. He was a Dolphins fan through and through but also had a soft spot for the Packers when they weren't playing the Dolphins. He could be seen wearing his teal and orange Dolphins jersey every Sunday cheering on his team the same way that he had his whole life.

David also loved to play poker and was a very skilled player. The highlight of his weeks during retirement were going to play poker with friends and telling his sons how he did that week. He was able to play in Las Vegas multiple times during his final years and always spoke highly of his trips.

David was a fantastic father to his two sons Sean and Eric. He would do anything to make sure that they were in the best position to succeed and would often provide advice only a father could. In Dave's last years, he and his sons would always grab Dinner together when they were all back in town.

David will be remembered for his outgoing personality and love for sports, poker, and his sons.

The visitation is scheduled for October 5th at 11am until the time of Service at 1pm at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls.
