David G. Hansen Obituary
David "Bitsy" Hansen, age 77, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 surrounded by his family. David was born in 1944 and raised in Waupaca, WI. He graduated in 1962 as a star sports player in basketball, baseball, golf and football. David then graduated from UW-Madison and remained a loyal Badger fan throughout his life. He was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate with both US Bank and Associated Bank. David enjoyed cribbage, golfing, fishing, hunting and a good dirty joke. He was endlessly entertained by deer in his backyard and enjoyed watching TV with his dog Nell on his lap.
Preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Beatrice Hansen, daughter Laura Jane Hansen and sister-in-law, Barb Hansen.
David is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughters, Beth Anne Hansen, Stephanie (Kurt Johnson) Hansen, Cubbie (Greg) Jacobson; sons Jack (Shannon) and Alex (Corri Iacono) Hansen; grandchildren Sadie, Ellie, Sami, Skyler, Grace and Maisie as well as his brother Steve Hansen, sister Karen (Paul) Nelson and many relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday March 3, 2022 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls at 5:00 p.m. Family will welcome friends from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Private family burial at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Tee – Southeast WI (firstteesoutheastwisconsin.org) are preferred.
