Donald A. Jends Obituary
Donald Alan Jends found Eternal Peace on May 17, 2025, at the age of 59.
He is survived by his loving siblings Diane Delios (Kon), Thomas Jends, and Debi Schulz (John), and nieces and nephews Amie Hensel, Becky Lisowski, Kalli and Alex Schulz, Andrew Jends, and Elise Schulz.
Also left to cherish his memory is Kerry Lanaghan, with whom he had a long-time relationship and his best friend Keith Kirschbaum.
Donald was born the 5th of 6 children to parents Alvin and Beverly (nee Turtenwald) Jends on May 19, 1965, in Milwaukee WI. He spent most of his adult life as a machinist.
Don often attended local and church festivals, relishing the sweet sounds of summer as he danced at many band stages. Beside being a Packer and Brewer fan, he loved to hunt and fish, especially at his parents' cottage on White Potato Lake. Playing Sheepshead at the cottage's kitchen table with family and friends were lifelong memories. He also played at "The Club", where having been a friend of Bill W., Don was of love and service to a fellowship that was very special to him.
Donnie had a passion for motorcycle riding and had great fun at the cottage joining his buddies who rode dirt bikes. After much friendly banter about Don riding the dirt and sand trails with his street bike, the Yamaha 250 Exciter, there is no doubt that one more time, he would like to say, "It only takes one finger to start the Exciter!".
His family and Kerry lovingly describe Donnie as funny, kind, good hearted, and having had a great sense of humor … "there was always some type of joking or goofiness going on when he was around". Any time spent with his family and friends is by far what Don treasured most.
In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by dear brothers Glenn and David Jends, and nephew Jason Burroughs.
Donald's family will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date.
