Doris M. Phillips Obituary
Doris M. Phillips, age 93, passed away peacefully October 11, 2025. She was born December 27, 1931, in Delafield, Wisconsin to William and Violet Schuster. She married Donald Phillips on August 30, 1948, who preceded her in death on August 7, 1995.
Doris lived in the Delafield area all her life. She has been a life-long member of Delafield Presbyterian Church. This church was a very important part of her life, where she served as Elder, Organist, Choir Director, Treasurer, and Clerk of Session.
Doris attended Cushing School and Waukesha High School. She worked as a telephone operator at Northwest Telephone Company, and a waitress at Red Circle Inn and Seven Seas restaurants. She was also a rural mail carrier in Delafield and Pewaukee, retiring after 30 years. Besides raising her six children, Doris stayed busy in the community as a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Den mother, and a member of the Delafield Fire Department Auxiliary. She and Don enjoyed spending time with family at their place in Crivitz, Wisconsin. They also were avid sports fans, supporting the Brewers by going to Spring Training games in Arizona and watching the Packers.
Doris will be missed and survived by her children: Donna Prodoehl, Denny Phillips, Dean (Joan) Phillips, Duane (Tammy) Phillips, Dawn (Chris) Hettich and daughter-in-law, Viki Phillips. Grandchildren: Kelly (Scott) Wuttke, Rebecca (BZ) Kayser, Jessica Benishek, Tyler Phillips, Nicole Prodoehl (Jayson Kurfis), Jamie Phillips, Adam (Lindsey) Phillips, Eric (Ashley) Phillips, Kara (Bob) Berg, Tonia (Joe) Rauch, Joe (Megan) Phillips, Josh (Denisse) Phillips, Bradley Hettich and Ashley (Robbie) Albinger. She had 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by sister in-laws Rosemary Schuster and Carole Ross, brother in-law Glenn Phillips and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Don, son Dale Phillips, son in-law Andy Prodoehl and grandson Jason Phillips, brothers Rev. William F. Schuster and Harvey Schuster.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Three Pillars and Allay Hospice for their compassionate care during Doris's time there.
