Ellen J. De Gail Obituary

Ellen Jeanne de Gail, age 82, of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary H. Grumbly, longtime residents of Norwalk, CT.

Ellen was a graduate of Norwalk High School in 1957, and of Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, VA in 1961. She also received a diploma from the Latin-American Institute in New York City for studies as a bilingual secretary. She retired from Community Consolidated School District #59, Elk Grove Village, IL in 1985. Ellen also volunteered at Bayside Elementary School, Stevensville, MD for eleven years.

Survivors include two sons, Philippe (Amy) of Germantown, WI. and Christian of Trout Valley, IL., grandchildren Nicole, Brittany, Maxence, Luc, Joseph and Gabrielle, two sisters, Elizabeth Grumman of Bridgeport, CT and Rita Daglian of Bloomfield, NJ, a brother the late Patrick (Frances) of Norwalk, and many nieces and nephews in the Norwalk area.

Memorial Service Saturday, February 5 at Crossway Church W156 N10041 Pilgrim Rd., Germantown at 10:30 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 10 AM. Final rest St. Mary Cemetery, Menomonee Falls.
